'Thank you'  to everyone who helped out on our Italian Day. I can’t praise the local community enough who go that extra mile in helping the Dr Martin Centre. A great day was had by all last Thursday the 20^{th of} June when we held a Spanish day. A big Thank You to Kyle Crotty, Anne Corcoran, Mary Fowler and to all the staff and volunteers who helped out in the preparation and planning of the day . It was an excellent day with great games, music and food tasting. A big Thank to all our Musicians such as Kevin Nolan, Sean O’Brien, Mgt Dooley, Louise Jacob, Gerry Walsh, Tom Comerford and John O’Shea who provide us with great entertainment every Wednesday afternoon.   

We are holding an ITALIAN DAY on Wednesday,  17^th of July, starting at 10am.Fun filled day with great games, music and people! In the morning – Traditional Italian games & food tastings. Dinner as usual at a cost of 7Euros. Please book by the 11^th of July on 387111 – 0870570652. In the afternoon – Music, John O’Shea and Bachelors in Trouble, food tastings, dancing and much more! Come along and join in with the fun!

On Wednesday the 24^th of July we are planning a trip to Mount Melleray and Lismore; anyone interested in coming along, please call the centre (more information next week).

In the Dr Martin Day centre we provide holistic therapies such as a complementary therapist and a chiropodist are facilitated for on the premises. The cost of treatments is 15 Euro, and booking for treatments is essential; please call the centre for further information. We provide an excellent exercise programme on Wednesday mornings from 11.30 to 12.30. We have a qualified instructor who provides a varied and fun approach to physical exercise. Anyone ordering take-away dinners, if you could, please let us know before 12 o’clock; it would be appreciated.

SPANISH DAY AT CENTRE

We are holding a Spanish day on the 20th of June starting at 10am.  It promises to be a fun filled day with great games, music and people! In the Morning we will have – traditional Spanish games & food tastings. In the afternoon – music, food tastings, dancing and much more! Come along and join in with the fun! MOBILE OPTICIAN:

MASS in the Dr Martin Day Centre on Tuesday the 21^st of May all are welcome to attend.  

                                                                                                                                                                    EYES ON THE ROAD MOBILE OPTICIAN will be at the Dr Martin on the first Thursday of every month for all members of the community. Service is free of charge to medical card holders. They provide an extensive range of frames, single vision, bifocal or varifocal spectacles are available. Forms are available in the centre, which need to be filled in before appointments. We provide holistic therapies such as a complementary therapist, chiropodist and a hairdresser are facilitated for on the premises. Booking for treatments is essential call the centre or the manager for further information. We provide an exercise programme on Wednesday’s from 11.30 to 12.30. Anyone ordering take-away dinners, if you could please let us know before 12 o’clock, it would be appreciated.
