The Wednesday afternoon music sesions have now been running
for over four years
and are as popular as ever;
It's not just all music and song,
but occasionally a little dancing,
plenty of banter,
and some can manage to fit in a little knitting simultaneously!
Left ro right:
Cáit Galvin, Eileen O'Brien and Alice Power.
Two of the 'entertainers' on this occasion were:
Davy ('Busty') Griffin - accordionist, singer and more,
also Margaret Dooley - singer and sometimes demonstrating a mazurka
to the air of 'Shoe the Donkey'!
Birthdays are always remembered with a cake and candles.
On this occasion it was a joint celebration between
Pol Sexton and Peggy Brophy
with Annie Dooley looking on from the left.
Presenting the cake is Alice Kiersey,
the centre manager.
